UM...Can They Do This???
Lawmakers in Mississippi are trying to solve the American obesity problem by starving fat people out of their state. Apparently, the state has the highest obesity rate in the country. So lawmakers have proposed a bill that would make it illegal for restaurants to serve anyone who has a high body mass index. How long before they ban women with high shoe indexes from department stores?

That is, quite possibly, one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard.
Not only is the general concept insane, but also it is extremely difficult to determine BMI, which is an outdated method of judging health anyway. BMI simply takes into account your height and weight; there is no allowance for fat vs. muscle.
According to the BMI, every body builder in the world is obese, and I remember one hearing someone say that it also made Will Smith and Tom Cruise on the verge of obesity when they had gained muscle for some of their films.
This is just one more reason for me not to go to Mississippi.
